In the Netherlands it is also possible to grow proteins. It is not quite yet an alternative for the millions of kilo’s of soya from for example Brazil which are being used as cattle feed. But the Dutch soya has a good quality and can be used perfectly fine as meat replacement.

On the 8th of November Chris de Visser, researcher at Wageningen UR, took part in a radio program called Vroege Vogels (Early birds) where he spoke about the sustainability of protein production in the Netherlands.

Listen to the interview with Chris de Visser here (in Dutch only).
